Terms of Service

By creating an account or using EPOS you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable; if anything is unclear, email info@greekepos.gr.

The service

EPOS is an AI-assisted Greek language tutor focused on speaking practice. The coach gives supportive feedback on your spoken attempts. EPOS is currently in beta — the service is under active development and may change, break, or be temporarily unavailable.

Your account

  • You must provide an email address you control. You are responsible for keeping access to that address secure.
  • One account per person. Do not share your sign-in link or session with anyone else.
  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use EPOS.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use EPOS to harass, threaten, or harm others, or to upload audio containing illegal content.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service, or bypass rate limits and access controls.
  • Use automated agents (bots, scripts) to drive the lesson loop. The coach is designed for a human learner.
  • Resell or sublicense access to EPOS, or use it to provide a competing service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service. We will attempt to notify you first by email when practical.

Subscriptions and billing

  • EPOS offers monthly and annual subscriptions billed through Stripe. New subscriptions include a 14-day free trial; you will not be charged during the trial and can cancel at any time before it ends.
  • After the trial, your subscription renews automatically at the chosen interval until you cancel. Prices are shown on the pricing page.
  • You can cancel any time from the Stripe Customer Portal linked in your profile. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate refunds for unused time.
  • If a payment fails, we may suspend access until the issue is resolved.

Content and the coach's feedback

EPOS uses speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and a language model to generate coaching feedback. The coach is supportive but not a certified instructor: feedback is a learning aid, not authoritative assessment. Do not rely on EPOS for academic, professional, or official certification of your Greek proficiency.

You retain ownership of the audio you record and the responses you give. You grant us a limited licence to process them as described in the Privacy Policy.

Service availability

EPOS is provided on a best-effort basis during beta. We do not guarantee uptime, response time, or a particular service level. We may add, change, or remove features. If we ever shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice by email.

Disclaimer of warranties

EPOS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The coach can make mistakes — please use your judgement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EPOS's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection law.

Termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing info@greekepos.gr. We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that creates risk for us or other users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced by email; the "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator of EPOS resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply.
